Successful completion of this course qualifies student for VA Concealed Handgun Permit Application. Safe gun handling is our primary concern. Range will charge $10 per student for live fire. You will be contacted after registration with directions. Approximately 3 Hour classroom portion in Manassas location then live fire at NRA Range in Fairfax. Thank you for your consideration.

Hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper orientation to one specific pistol action type. This course is at least three hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot a specific pistol action type. Students will learn the NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; the particular pistol model parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, FIRST Steps Course completion certificate.

The course is approximately 4 hours and is all classroom based. The fee is $85 which includes, the Utah application, notary service, and Utah fingerprinting.
